KUSHANO-SASANIANS. Bahram I, circa 340-345. Dinar (Gold, 35 mm, 7.89 g, 11 h), time of Yasada and Kirada, struck in the name of Bahram, Balkh. 'BAΓO OAPAYPANO O-OOZOPKO KOÞANO ÞAYO ('His Majesty Bahram, Great King of the Kushan' in Bactrian) Bahram standing front, head to left, wearing a flat topped crown with lotus blossom above, sacrificing with his right hand over lighted altar and holding trident in his left hand; to left, trident above small altar; to right, tamgha. Rev. 'BORZAOANDO IAZADO' ('The illustrious God' in Bactrian) The illustrious God (Shiva) standing facing with flaming hair, holding diadem in his right hand and trident in his left; behind, the bull Nandi, his companion, standing left.
